Dance Attire Dance Classes - comfortable, appropriate clothes for casual indoor social activities. No tennis shoes or sandals. Shoes should be non-scuffing. Dance shoes are preferred for Ballroom 2 and higher. No jackets or ties are required and during the summer polo shirts and tees are acceptable. Jeans or shorts are OK - they show personality:) but aren't very ballroom.   Practice Parties - Dressy Casual. No jeans, tee shirts, tennis shoes or sandals. Slacks and dresses are preferred - as are long sleeve shirts for men (except in summer).   Formals - Men: Tuxedo - black tie w/vest or cumberbun. Dark suit or sport coat with tie is acceptable.                   Ladies: Ballroom Gowns, long dresses or cocktail dresses - best not to wear pant suits.
