Are you interested in taking your dancing to a higher level? Looking for a little excitement and challenge? Maybe you just want to understand how ballroom competitions work. Here's a chance to get your questions answered and get started in the world of Amateur Ballroom Dance Competition.
 
This workshop is designed for newcomers to Amateur Ballroom Competition. We'll  give you the vital information you need concerning all aspects of amateur competition - competitive organizations, teachers and coaches, clothing, schedules, dance styles, routines, how we are judged, how to register, how to save money and avoid unnecessary expenses, resources, and suggestions for upcoming competitions.
 
Come get your questions answered and some direction and encouragement in getting started in the exciting world of competitive ballroom.

Carrie Thomas will present suggested routines for competitors in the newcomer division. Dancers will have the opportunity to network with experienced dance competitors and find potential partners. We will also provide registration forms and flyers from the competitive organizations and  future competitions.
